OUR CLASSES

  • Clear your mind, balance your body, and get centered. Learn specific tools to access all the benefits of yoga: increased flexibility and strength, breath efficiency, and stress relief. This class focuses on skillful alignment, whole-body health, and quality rather than quantity. Poses may be held for a longer period of time. This offers newer students the time to learn poses, and more experienced yogis the option to turn up the heat.

  • Dive deeper in this expansive class where we use a skillful method of teaching the key biomechanics and alignment of poses while encompassing other aspects of yoga, such as breathing exercises, guided meditation, mantra, and mudra. This class is ideal for students who want to increase strength and flexibility in their body while calming their minds, which allows you to flow in the whole of your life with ease and joy.

  • Strength, confidence, flexibility, balance, and self-reflection. Explore key postures in detail, sometimes with long holds, sometimes with variations. Good for every level of practice– from those just starting in yoga or recovering from an injury to those looking to deeply expand their understanding of certain poses.

  • Kundalini Yoga is an ancient healing practice which includes breath work, mantras, kriyas (series of coordinated asanas), meditation and relaxation. It is often called the Yoga of Awareness allowing each student class by class, session by session to release accumulated stress and toxins of daily life, invigorating mind, body and spirit. Join us to find that connection to inner calm and inner strength.

  • Have an immediate experience of expanded awareness, a quieter mind, peace, and love. Relax and receive a gentle transfer of energy which shifts the brain into higher states of consciousness. May include yogic chanting, chakra, and breathing meditations.

  • Restorative Yoga shifts the body from the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) to the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest.) Blankets and bolsters allow the body to rest with zero muscular engagement. We will spend 10-12 minutes in each posture, completely supported and completely passive. This practice is the perfect antidote to the physical and psychological stress of living the lifestyle of a modern human.

  • Vinyasa yoga is a practice where we connect the breath with movement. In Vinyasa you will move through sun salutations, standing poses, and seated and supine postures. We will hold poses for 3-5 breaths and move dynamically to build strength, balance, flexibility, and ease. We learn how to steady our body, our breath, and our mind so we can connect with our playful and expansive spirit.

  • Yin Yoga is a slow deep stretch class in which practitioners hold a series of postures for an extended period of time to soften and rehabilitate the body. These stretching poses are generally held for 3-5 minutes on the ground often with the use of props (like bolsters, blankets, and blocks) for setting up the body in specific postures that aid in releasing tension and getting deeper into the connective tissues.

    Yin challenges the practitioner to find stillness in the mind and body! Breath and meditation techniques are used throughout the class to keep the mind focused on the present moment and explore the happenings of the body.

  • Yoga Nidra is a practice of conscious creation in a deep state of relaxation. It is said one hour of Yoga Nidra is the equivalent of 4 hours of sleep. Join us on the first and last Friday of each month to learn how to relax your body, increase your energy flow, and bring awareness into your life. No yoga experience is needed, there is no movement in this class, only a commitment and willingness to yourself meditate while lying down.
